What is a consecration paroissiale ou d'une communauté au Cœur de Jésus ?
It is the act by which a person or a community gives themselves in a particular way to God. For a baptised person, consecration corresponds to the solemn renewal of baptismal consecration.
Consecration to the Heart of Jesus is a Christian's response of love to the love of Christ who gave himself up for him (Gal 2:20; Jn 19:37). It is a step of faith, hope and love by which we place ourselves in His hands to give Him love for love. By committing ourselves to taking care of Christ's affairs (prayers, sacraments, works of mercy), we are convinced that He will take care of ours in return.

vos questions
Why consecrate our parishes or communities?
Because it's a way of living Christ's love by updating the grace of the sacrament of marriage and entrusting our family to the Lord so that He can be its King and protector! At Paray-le-Monial, Jesus promised peace to families and the blessing of homes where his Sacred Heart would be exposed. It is a wonderful gift for spouses and families to consecrate themselves to the Sacred Heart.
It is also a way for members of our parishes and communities to :

A double movement up and down
Consecration takes place in a double upward and downward movement.
Personal and family consecrations prepare for the consecration of a parish, just as the consecration of a parish encourages personal and family consecrations.
In a similar way, the consecrations of dioceses and episcopal conferences prepare for the consecration of the Church, which is an incentive for these consecrations of the various episcopal conferences.

How can I propose the consecration of my parish? My diocese? My community? My movement? In my country? Se Conacrer proposes 5 steps for proposing the consecration of our parish, diocese, community, movement or people.
STEP 1
I am a group of diverse sensibilities
- Why is this? Because a consecration transcends the sensitivities of one person or another. The Heart of Jesus is the leaven of unity. Let us not be afraid!
- To prepare solid arguments to convince my parish priest / the pastoral or parish council / my bishop / the presbyteral council / our bishops / the bishops' conference...
- To pray for this intention.
- To spread the word about personal and family consecrations within the different sensibilities of my parish, my diocese...

ÉTAPE 2
I formally propose the consecration or its renewal to my parish priest / my bishop
- I'm not trying to put my parish priest/bishop "under pressure".
- I act gently.
- I agree to take the time to help people discover the treasures of Sacred Heart spirituality and its history if my pastor (parish priest, bishop, etc.) is not familiar with it.
- I have in mind that my parish priest / bishop can submit this proposal to his parish / presbyteral council.
- I provide my parish priest/bishop with information on how to deepen my understanding of the spirituality of the Sacred Heart (Encyclical Dilexit Nos, Heart of Jesus® Course, etc.).
- I pray for the Pope, who has made our task so much easier by offering us an encyclical on the Heart of Jesus at the heart of the jubilee of Christ's apparitions at Paray-le-Monial!
- I continue to pray for the proposed consecration of my parish, my diocese, my community.
ÉTAPE 3
I'm helping to prepare the parish consecration / diocesan
- I obey my parish priest/bishop.
- I accept that the decision may take time and I'm not impatient.
- My parish priest / bishop is overloaded and doesn't have much time! We offer our help in setting up a dedicated project team if this is what he needs as a pastor, and suggest the following actions, for example.

- Prepare a message for the parish bulletin.
- Inform the parish, the diocese, the community, the movement... Lay groups (individuals, couples...) can inform the community of what is on offer. Let's not forget that it's often through the mouth that people are encouraged to find out more about the love of Jesus and the spirituality of the Sacred Heart.
- Offer educational tools to existing communities (pastoral council, parish council, Teams of Our Lady, evangelisation cells, catechism groups, scout groups, groups of fathers or mothers of families, family associations, pastoral groups, etc.).
- Set up a programme to invite all parishioners to make a personal and family consecration. This is an excellent way of preparing for the consecration of the parish, the diocese, etc.
- Create a parish WhatsApp group to communicate about the initiatives that will punctuate preparations for the consecration.
- Make personal and family consecrations and the enthronement of the Sacred Heart widely available in homes (words in the parish bulletin, offer consecrations at the end of Masses).
- Organise a series of conferences (The Heart of Jesus at the school of Sainte-Marguerite-Marie Alacoque, the Hearts of Jesus and Mary at the school of Saint Jean Eudes, Divine Mercy and Saint Faustina, etc.).
- Organise a reception for the relics of Saint Margaret Mary.
- Offer the Heart of Jesus® Discovery Trail (12 x 8-minute audios) within existing movements.
- Form a group to "follow together" the Heart of Jesus® Journey (8 groups of 30-45 minutes sharing).
- Offer "Sacred Heart" goodies/objects for sale (Sacred Heart in gold-plated metal, etc.), enabling the scouts who sell them, for example, to spread the Heart of Jesus and enable them, via a margin agreed with the parish priest, to finance their summer camp!
- Prepare flyers/cards that I hand out after Mass.
- Record "mini-podcasts" for the parish (see Viroflay parish).
- Create a web page on the parish website.
- Invite a priest, religious or bishop with a devotion to the Heart of Jesus (Jesuits, Eudists, etc.) to talk about it in the parish.
- Praying for the intention of consecration.
- Suggest to my parish priest that he say the votive Mass of the Sacred Heart on the first Friday of the month.
- Offers Holy Hour.
- Organise monthly, weekly or continuous adoration for several hours or days so that the parish can worship.
- In agreement with my parish priest, suggest ways in which the parish priest/vicar(s) can come into the homes to enthrone the Heart of Jesus.
- Organise a parish/diocesan pilgrimage to a place linked to the Sacred Heart (Montmartre basilica, Paray-le-Monial shrine, etc.).
- Subscribe to the Seconsacrer newsletter.
- Enter the consecration of my parish / diocese on the Seconsacrer.org map with the past or future date of the consecration.
- Install a plaque commemorating the consecration of the parish.
- Installing a statue of the Sacred Heart in the church.
ÉTAPE 4
I am taking part in the consecration of my parish / diocese

- We continue to pray for our parish priest / our parish / our bishop / our diocese.
